Man hospitalised after reported stabbing

A man is recovering in hospital following a reported stabbing in Castlefin at the weekend.

The incident occurred in the Long Brae area near main street around midnight on Sunday last.

The victim was transferred to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Gardai say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Investigations are continuing into the assault.
