A Donegal schoolgirl is sporting a brand new ‘do’ after getting the chop for charity.
Amber McKeown from Laghey, aged 10, said goodbye to her beautiful long locks this week to help children in need. Her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children with childhood cancer.
The charity relies on valued donations from children like Amber who have grown their hair to great lengths.
The charity also appeals for financial donations to cover the costs of providing and fitting the wigs. In addition to free wig provision, the Little Princess Trust funds research into finding better treatments for childhood cancers.
Amber’s good deed of the year was done at Meraki Hair, Killybegs, with the expert skills of Claire McDowell giving her a beautiful new cut.
Amber is also raising money for the Laura Lynn Foundation for very sick children and their families. If you would like to support her, please visit: https://www.idonate.ie/Ambermckeown
