One Donegal LEA has lowest Covid booster uptake in Ireland – CSO

One Donegal Electoral Areas (LEA) has the lowest uptake in Ireland when it comes to additional Covid-19 doses.

According to the latest CSO figures, only 36 per cent of the adult population in South Inishowen received their first booster.

The Covid-19 Vaccination Bulletin is based on vaccinations and additional doses 1 and 2 given up to 30 June 2022.

In other Donegal LEAs, North Inishowen was slightly higher at 42%, followed by Lifford-Stranorlar (49%), Letterkenny (52%), Milford (54%), Donegal (58%) and Glenties was the highest at 61%.

The LEAs with the highest Covid-19 additional dose 1 rate are in Dublin: Rathfarnham-Templeogue (74%), Blackrock (73%), and Dundrum (70%).

Just 16% of employees across all sectors were not fully vaccinated.

The Accommodation & Food Services sector has the highest percentage of employees who are not fully vaccinated at 23%

The sector with the highest Additional dose 1 rate is Public Administration & Defence at 77%.
