Investigations underway as man hospitalised after overnight collision

Part of the Ramelton Road remains closed this Friday morning following a serious overnight collision.

A motorcyclist has been hospitalised with injuries after a collision between a motorbike and a car.

The driver of the car was treated at the scene.

The crash occurred on a section of the R245 Road at Castleshanaghan, between the Silver Tassie Hotel and Aughnagaddy.

Diversions remain in place as gardaí continue investigations this morning. Vehicles are being directed to back roads.
