Eric McWoods is confident Finn Harps can avoid relegation as long as the squad stick together.
McWoods returned to the scoresheet tonight having been injured and despite Finn Harps getting knocked out of the cup with a 3-1 defeat to Bohemians, the real focus is now on survival.
McWoods said: “The fight is important, as long as we stay together and have good camaraderie I think we can definitely stay in the league, I’m confident of that.
“The next two weeks are important for momentum for the rest of the season.”
McWoods is also confident on a personal level that he is getting over his injury woes, with the American playing the full 90 minutes tonight having missed the previous three games.
He added: “I had a serious hamstring injury and I need my hamstrings cause I need to make sure I’m explosive and ready to go to help the team.
“I feel good, I still need to get a bit of my sharpness and my fitness back because it’s been almost four weeks but I feel good.
“I did kind of a good job over the last three and a half weeks trying to stay active and the physio did a good job and the coach with training.
