Fault leaves homes and business in north Donegal without power

Almost 150 homes and businesses in north Donegal were without power earlier today.

ESB Networks confirmed that 99 customers had been affected following a fault in the Buncrana area.

The incident occurred at around 09:55 am, but power was restored at 2:20pm.

Meanwhile, a further 50 customers were affected by an outage in the Creeslough area.

That incident occurred at 11:03am, but power was restored by 2:12pm.

To report fallen wires or damage to ESB Networks equipment call the 24/7 emergency number 1800 372 999.
