Gardaí will be operating property marking machines at a number of events over the coming days.
The locations are:
Meenacross Agricultural Show Monday 1st August 2022 between 2pm and 4pm.
Clonmany Agricultural Show on Tuesday the 2nd of August between 12pm and 4pm.
The Termon Complex on Thursday the 4th of August between 4pm and 6pm.
The machine can be used on a number of surfaces including metal, carbon fibre, wood and plastic. It uses a pattern of dots to mark property making it highly distinguishable and easy to return in the case of theft, rendering it unattractive to thieves.
