Teen festivalgoers hospitalised following bus crash

Two teenagers were injured in a bus crash following the Clonmany festival last night.

A local coach crashed on the road from Clonmany to Buncrana at 12.40am. No other vehicles were involved.

Two male teens suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene. Gardaí today confirmed that no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

Earlier in the evening, four people were hospitalised following a crash in Clonmany village.

A van ploughed into a crowd and struck a number of pedestrians after the driver suffered a “health incident”.

The driver and three pedestrians were all taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Hundreds of music lovers are in the town this week for the annual Clonmany Festival.
