A young man is recovering in hospital after being viciously attacked in Letterkenny overnight.
The man was with friends on the Port Road at around 3am when he was attacked.
Gardai say he was badly beaten and knocked out.
The victim is in hospital and Gardai are awaiting to interview him about the assault.
