Donegal athletes Amy Timoney and Caoimhe Gallen have been selected to compete at the England AAA Championships in Bedford later this month.
Finn Valley AC’s Amy Timoney will compete in the 80m hurdles while Lifford-Strabane AC’s Caoimhe Gallen will take part in the Hammer.
Timoney won the under-16 80m hurdles at the National Juvenile Track and Field Championships in Tullamore last month, finishing in 11.85s.
Gallen meanwhile enjoyed national success in the hammer last month, winning with a 54.28m throw at the SIAB Track and Field International in Belfast.
The two girls are part of a 43-person Ireland squad that will compete in the Championships on the 27th and 28th of August.
