Donegal rent prices have increased by 18.5%

Rent prices in Donegal have risen by around 18.5% in the last year, according to the latest Daft.ie House Price Report.

The report also showed that the average listed rent is €881, which is an increase of 82% from its lowest point.

Market rents were on average 18.5% higher in the second quarter of 2022 than the year previously and there were 76 New Homes transactions, an increase of 19% from last year.

It was also reported that the average price of a house in Donegal in July 2022 is €199,757, an increase of 6.5% from the first quarter of the year and a yearly increase of 19.1%.

The latest Daft.ie Q2 2022 Rental Price report, showing record high rent increases, comes on foot of the RTB Q1 2022 Rent Index report that lists a 9.2% increase in rent prices in Q1 of this year.

In Donegal, Leitrim and Longford, increases range from €140 to €165 a month.
