The editor of the Donegal News is to retire after more than two decades in charge of the paper.
Columba Gill, a native of Buncrana who lives in Letterkenny, has overseen some major changes at the newspaper in that time.
Mr Gill started off as a reporter at the paper before becoming news editor and then succeeding the former editor, the late John McCroary.
The Ulster Herald Group, which owns the paper, has advertised for a new editor.
An advert for the post said it is seeking someone based in Letterkenny who is also an experienced editorial professional.
The right candidate will also have an evolving vision of journalism and will be passionate about print and digital.
The closing date for applications is September 16th.
