Healthcare staff and people with health conditions offered second booster

The HSE is inviting people aged 12 to 49 years with long term health conditions and healthcare workers to get ther second Covid-19 booster dose in Donegal.

Appointments are available at a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Stranorlar as well as the Letterkenny Covid Vaccination Centre (CVC).

Other vaccines available at Letterkenny CVC and the pop-up clinic in Stranorlar include:

·       Dose 1, Dose 2 and First booster vaccines for those aged 12 + years

·       Second booster vaccines for those eligible aged 50 + years

·       Second booster vaccines for pregnant women who are 16 weeks and over and have not received a booster previously during their current pregnancy.

Noel Cullen, Deputy Operational Site Manager Letterkenny CVC said “We are now inviting those aged 12 to 49 years with long term health conditions and Healthcare Workers to make an appointment for their second booster dose. Appointments are also available for those over 50 years of age and over for their primary, first and second booster vaccines to our pop up clinic in Stranorlar or to our static centre in Letterkenny.

“We are also inviting those aged 12 years and over for their primary and first booster doses. Also women who are 16 weeks plus pregnant can avail of their primary and first and second booster doses.

“Please note pregnant women can only get one booster dose throughout their pregnancy.

“Please see www.hse.ie/book in order to book an appointment, and for information on pop-up clinic times and locations; CVC clinic times; and eligible age cohorts within the Donegal area over the coming weeks.”
