Met Eireann has issued a new lightning and spot flooding alert for Donegal for this evening.
The status yellow warning is valid from 7pm this evening and will remain in place until 3am tomorrow morning.
It follows heavy overnight showers which saw damage and flooding to roads across the county.
Met Eireann warned “Heavy rain along with a few thunderstorms will spread northwards over Ireland. Lightning and spot flooding in places.”
The warning was issued in a text alert by Donegal County Council via Met Eireann.
