The Glenties community has welcomed the installation of a new footbridge across the Owenea river.

The bridge was put in place on Saturday at Mullantyboyle, a popular area for fishing and local amenities. Source Civil based in Donegal Town were the Main Contractor on the project working on behalf of Inland fisheries Ireland. The bridge was designed by WD Bucannan and Co, Raphoe.

The new footbridge, a superior bridge weighing over 5 tones and galvanised, will provide a safer link for pedestrians.
