Update: ALL Aer Lingus flights scheduled to depart from Dublin Airport for European and UK destinations from 2pm today have been cancelled.
Flights to and from Donegal Airport have been ‘indefinitely delayed’ due to an Aer Lingus systems crash.
The IT issue has caused chaos at Dublin Airport this morning, as thousands queue for manual check-ins.
Donegal Airport is serviced by a twice-daily flight to Dublin operated by Emerald Airlines under Aer Lingus.
“Unfortunately our staff have no access to systems to check any reservations, flight times etc for intending passengers,” passengers have been told.
“We will update with any information from Aer Lingus as we receive it,” said a statement from Donegal Airport on social media.
A coach was provided for passengers that were scheduled to fly to Dublin at 1.30pm.
