Andrew McGinley pays tribute to beloved mother and grandmother

Andrew McGinley has paid tribute to his mother who passed away this morning.

Marie Mc Ginley (née Prendiville) of Brookfield, Donegal town, and formerly Inver, will be laid to rest on Saturday after 11am Requiem Mass in St Naul’s Church, Ardaghey, Inver. 

Conor, Darragh & Carla’s beloved Granny Marie has left us to spend an eternity reading bedtime stories to them. I’m sure snuggles and cuddles will be involved.

Posting on Twitter, the grieving father described her as a devoted mother and grandmother.

“Conor, Darragh and Carla’s beloved Granny Marie has left us to spend an eternity reading bedtime stories to them,” he said. 

“I’m sure snuggles and cuddles will be involved. A devoted mother, granny and lifelong love of Grandad Brendan.”

He was posting on the Conors Clips page which he set up after this three children were killed by their mother at their Dublin home in January 2020.
