West Donegal road closes as road works begin

Donegal County Council wishes to advise that due to essential road works, the R261 Ardara – Portnoo Road will not re-open until Wednesday 21st September.

The road has been closed from 8:00am this morning and will re-open at 5pm on Wednesday.

The exact location of the road blockage is at a small bridge on the R261 between the Bog Road and Access Road to the GAA Grounds in Ardara.

The Diversion route will be as follows: Traffic at Ardara will be diverted via N56 – Glenties – N56 – Maas – R261 – Tullycleave More. Traffic at Tullycleave More will be diverted via R261 – Maas – N56 – Glenties – N56 – Ardara

Donegal County Council apologises for any inconvenience which this may cause.
