Call for ramps to be more visible in Letterkenny’s new one-way route

Plans are in place to ensure drivers can clearly see the new ramps on the Cathedral one-way system in Letterkenny.

Works on the new road layout in the school district are almost complete, but issues have been raised over the ramps being too dark for motorists to see. Triangle markings will soon be painted onto the ramps, Donegal County Council has confirmed.

The issue was brought before the Letterkenny-Milford MD by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh.

In response, the council confirmed that traffic calming triangles will be added to the approach side of the speed humps to provide additional visibility of the ramps.
