‘Donegal Halloween’ returning for another spell at Swan Park

Derry’s world-famous Halloween celebrations will be creeping across to Donegal once again this October, it has been confirmed.

Swan Park in Buncrana will host some spellbinding cross-over events on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October.

The event, titled ‘The Ancients’ is a tribute to the Red Branch Knights of Ulster (An Croabh Rua) who once marched towards Lough Swilly.

The event is supported by the North West Development Fund and organised in partnership with Donegal County Council.

Locals are being invited to have their say on plans for this year’s event.

Cllr Jack Murray shared the ‘excellent news’ yesterday evening along with details on a public information event in relation to the Swan Park Halloween Performance, in the Lake of Shadows Hotel on Thursday 6th October @2pm.

Cllr Murray said: “This meeting is aimed at bringing businesses and the community together to see how businesses can maximise the benefit of this event to the local area.

“We would be grateful if you could attend the meeting and share the meeting information with other businesses and volunteer groups.”

Swan Park Halloween will take place this year on the 29th and 30th October from 5pm to 9pm each evening.
