Gardai are investigating an incident in which a man attempted to gain entry to a car with passengers inside on the outskirts of Manorcunningham.
The incident happened in the well-known picnic area at Manor around 9.30pm on Sunday night last.
A woman said she was in a car when two men in a navy Audi car pulled up and attempted to gain entry to her car.
The woman locked the driver’s door but the man attempted to get in through the back passenger door.
The young woman’s boyfriend then ran after the man but the pair jumped back into the car and drove in the direction of Manorcunningham village.
The woman and her boyfriend were left shaken but unhurt.
A Garda spokesperson said “Gardaí received report of an alleged incident in the Manorcunningham area of Donegal on the evening of Sunday 2nd October 2022.”
