A ‘Wave of Light’ ceremony will be taking place in Glenswilly to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week 2022.

All are welcome to join the remembrance event on Saturday 15th October from 6.30pm at Glenswilly GAA Club.

The gathering will be an opportunity for bereaved parents, families and friends to commemorate all babies who sadly died too soon.

The special event, organised by the local Roses and Rainbows Facebook group, invites people to write a baby’s name and/or a special remembrance message and place it on a memory tree which will be lit pink and blue at 7pm. Attendees can light candles to join in the world wave of light, after a minute’s silence, there will be a peaceful meditation session in the glow of candles.

Organisers have issued a very special word of thank you to Glenswilly GAA Club for coming on board and facilitating this very special event.
