An Taoiseach Micheal Martin is due to visit Letterkenny University Hospital to visit those injured in the Creeslough blast tragedy.

A total of eight people were injured in the incident on Friday afternoon and hospitalised.

One of those eight has since been taken for treatment to a Dublin hospital where his condition has been described as “critical.”

Garda Superintendent Liam Geraghty said the condition of the other seven victims was “stable.”

An Taoiseach arrived in Donegal and after visiting the scene on Saturday evening he attended a Remembrance Service at St Michael’s Church in Creeslough.

Mr Martin is understood to have paid a number of private visits to families directed affected by Friday’s devastating incident.

He stayed overnight in the county and is expected to visit the hospital today.

He is expected to meet with both staff and the families of those who have loved ones in hospital as a result of the blast.
