Flood relief works are set to begin on the R250 road in Glenswilly today (Monday).
Road users are being advised to expect delays over the next two weeks as works take place on the road near Glenswilly NS. Traffic lights will be put in place from today.
The works are set to resolve repeated incidents of flooding which caused disruption in the area in recent weeks.
An emergency meeting took place on Friday morning between the Mayor of Letterkenny-Milford, Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly and Donegal council engineers. At the meeting, Donegal County Council confirmed that funding had been sought to order pipes to provide a long-term solution to the issue.
