Funeral of Creeslough victim Hugh Kelly to take place on Friday

The oldest Victim of the Creeslough tragedy, Hugh Kelly, is to be laid to rest on Friday.

Also known as Hughie (59), he was a farmer from the Castledoe area.

Described as a quiet, modest man, he also did some construction work and was very well liked by many who knew him.

The late Mr Kelly is survived by his partner Linda, her daughter Mary and grandchild, Rosey, his sisters Agnes Gallagher and Tessie Friel and brother Frank and all his family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Josie and Sally and sister Susan Gallagher.

His remains will be reposing at Lackagh Bridge, Creeslough from 11.00 a.m. today. Family time please from 11.00 p.m. to 10.00 a.m. and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass in St Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Friday 14th October at 11.00 a.m. with burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery.
