Job Vacancy: Magee of Donegal is recruiting a Part-time Sales Assistant at their iconic store on the Diamond in Donegal Town.

Magee is a fifth generation Irish family business with over 150 years’ experience in designing, weaving and tailoring cloth and clothing.  The Company operates across manufacturing, wholesale, retail and e-commerce.  The original Magee 1866 store in Donegal Town, showcases the Magee 1866 lifestyle collections across Men, Women, Home & Accessories. The store also includes The Weaver’s Loft Bistro, an extensive Home & Gifts space and Hand-Weaving demonstrations. Magee of Donegal and the vibrant team offer a unique shopping experience and a warm Donegal welcome.

We wish to recruit a Part-time Sales Assistant at our store in Donegal Town.

Key requirements are:-

  • An engaging and enthusiastic personality with a passion for selling high-quality products and the desire to increase sales.
  • Exceptional communications and customer service skills providing an excellent in-store experience resulting in repeat business.
  • An interest in quality, design led clothing & accessories and an eye for styling would be beneficial as well as attention to detail in all areas.
  • Ideally, a minimum 2-3 years’ experience selling high quality products in a similar retail environment.

The successful candidate will work across all Departments, including the Weavers Loft Bistro and will join a great team of enthusiastic and energetic people so you will need to be a good team-player whilst also being able to work on your own initiative.  On-the-job training will be provided.

This is a part-time role offering approx. 20 hours per week spread across Monday – Sunday so full availability and flexibility are essential.  The store is open on Sundays during peak times and Sundays are worked on a shared rota basis.  Benefits include competitive rates of pay, commission, store discount, free parking, a generous workwear allowance and Company pension scheme after a qualifying period.

Please submit your cv to Ann Harley – aharley@magee1866.com.  Note that we will only be responding to shortlisted candidates.
