A Status Yellow wind warning for gusts of up to 110km/h remains in place for Atlantic coastal counties until midday.
Met Éireann issued the warning for Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo yesterday morning.
The forecaster said southeasterly winds, veering southwesterly will reach mean speeds of 50-65km/h, with gusts of 90 – 110km/h, with higher winds near coasts and exposed areas.
Disruption is expected, Met Éireann said.
