The Donegal diaspora in Philadelphia has made a generous donation of $10,300 to the Creeslough Community Fund.
The Donegal Association and friends held a memorial mass on Sunday 16th October to pray for the deceased, injured, and bereaved of the Creeslough tragedy.
$5300.00 was raised at the Mass. The Donegal Association matched the donations with a $5000.00 contribution to support the Creeslough Community.
All funds will be sent to the Irish Red Cross Creeslough Community Support Fund, which stood at over €1.2million on Friday.
“Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a meaningful memorial,” said a spokesperson for the Donegal Association of Philadelphia.
“Although in Philadephia, our prayers and hearts are with the families and friends who are affected by this tragedy.”
The group said they will continue to collect funds in person and online.
