A Community Support officer has been appointed to Creeslough in the aftermath of the recent tragedy in the village.

Donegal County Council made the appointment to assist with any Council associated area of help and advice.

Pamela Smullen, psmullen@donegalcoco.ie will be in attendance at Wild Atlantic Campsite (Unit 12), Creeslough effective from 2pm on Wednesday 26th October and from 10am – 4pm daily, Thursday & Friday.

Pamela will act as a link for any Council related queries and follow ups. Telephone number for Pamela is 087 0607388. This service will be continued into next week depending on demand for same.

The Council has also been advised that the Red Cross are attending a town hall type meeting at 7pm on Thursday in Creeslough Community Centre (Massinass) to consult on their ongoing work and future plans in the area.

The Council also wishes to advise that its Roads services have reviewed and upgraded signage for diversions and would ask that anyone travelling in that area abide by the signage pending the re-opening of the main road in Creeslough.

There is an ongoing engagement from all Council services to identify any emerging need and anyone needing assistance from any Council service can do so via the Community Support Officer.
