Television star David Walliams has sent a very special message to the people of Creeslough and especially to the children of the local Scoil Mhuire.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge and best-selling author took time out to record a video message for pupils.

David told how everyone in the village were in his thoughts.

And he revealed how he was sending a special consignment of his books to the pupils of Scoil Mhuire.

He said “Like everyone else in the world I heard about the tragic accident in the village of Creeslough. I wanted to send all my love to everyone effected by it.

“But particularly you guys in the local school, Scoil Mhuire. I’m sending some books for the school and I hope they cheer you up.

“I want you to know that you are not alone and that you are in my thoughts the whole time. All my love and take care.”

Scoil Mhuire said they were truly touched by David’s kind gesture.

“We are humbled and honoured to have received this message of support for our pupils and community from the popular children’s books author, David Walliams.

“Thank you David for this lovely gesture,” said a spokesperson.
