The first round of the Under-21 Championship took place across the county this weekend with some close encounters to kick-off the action.
The action in the Championship was due to begin on Friday night in Ballybofey, but due to a waterlogged pitch, Sean Mac Cumhaills and Termon’s game was cancelled, while in the C Championship, Robert Emmets failed to field a team against Burt.
Gaoth Dobhair and Milford were then the first game of the day in the A Championship, with the home side cruising to victory by 4-13 to no score in the North group.
In the other two A Championship games today in the South group, Naomh Conaill drew with Four Masters in Glenties with a score of 3-5 to 1-11, while Dungloe edged an away win against Killybegs by 1-12 to 3-5.
