Everyone needs ice-cream, according to Father John Joe Duffy of the Creeslough parish.
This Sunday, Creeslough’s Scrumptious Ice Cream Parlour will be serving up scoops of joy to all local children.
As the village prepares to mark the one month anniversary of the service station tragedy, Scrumptious owner Denis Ferry and his team want to reward the strength of all the local children. And they also want to congratulate the St Michael’s U13 team who scooped the Under-13 Division 2 Cup last weekend.
All the children of Creeslough are champions, says Denis, who has arranged a ‘happy hour’ tomorrow with sweet treats galore from 11:45am until 1pm Sunday.
He said: “After a wee push from Fr John Joe who reckons everyone needs ice cream we are opening tomorrow and Sunday from 12-7.
“We would like to invite the St Micheals under 13s team for a free celebratory ice cream on Sunday after 11:00 am mass from 11:45 until 13:00… and all of the children of Creeslough to come as well because you’re all champions.
“So bring the children on Sunday for a free happy hour from 11:45 am to 13:00 in Creeslough.”
