Christmas wishes are about to come true for regulars of Letterkenny’s Grill nightclub.
The iconic club on the Port Road may be empty now, but the memories of the slow sets and sausage suppers live on.
A group of Letterkenny townies have come together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Grill with their very own disco.
On Friday 30th December, an over 50s Grill reunion will take place in the Station House Hotel.
With Victor Fisher on the door, supper tickets and 80s tunes, it’s going to be a night to remember.
The idea was first planted before Covid-19. This Christmas, with people home for the holidays, Cathal Flood decided there was no better time to get the crew all together again.
Organisers say: “The whole idea of this event is to recapture a time when we were all teens and didn’t realise how good we had it, no phones, internet or money but we had the Grill to look forward to.”
“The sausage supper went down on a Saturday night like any modern-day Nandos!”
Tickets are in hot demand already, but there are limited numbers so please book early. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday 12th November at the Station House Hotel Reception and from Brian Wilson’s Heel 2 Toe shop on Main Street. €12.50 per ticket. You never know who you will bump into again!
