Gardaí in Donegal are calling on people to be on alert for pawned jewellery after a number of valuable items were stolen in Carrigans last week.
Six gold rings and four gold chains were taken during a burglary at a house on Main Street Carrigans last Friday 11th November.
It’s believed that entry was gained through an unlocked door.
Gardaí issued descriptions of the stolen jewellery today as a warning to anyone who may be approached to buy them in the lead up to Christmas.
The items included one gold Claddagh ring and two rings with Celtic writing and patterns. The other rings had plain gold bands. One of the necklaces had a Celtic design pendant attached.
Anyone with any information in relation to the burglary is asked to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on +353 74 9167100.
