A special Mass will be held in Donegal on Sunday to mark the UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

The event will be marked at the 11am Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, Buncrana.

Members of the emergency services will assist with the readings and prayers of the Faithful at the Mass.

Commemorations to remember the victims of road traffic collisions and their families will be taking place around the country.

“This will be a day for us all to remember those who have sadly lost their lives and also those who have been seriously injured on the roads,” a spokesperson for the organisers said.

The Mass may be viewed live at www.churchservices.tv/cockhill
