A thoughtful schoolgirl is saying goodbye to her beautiful long locks to help other children in need.
Jenna, aged 12, whose parents Mark Cook and Stephaine Love are from Donegal Town, is cutting her hair to donate it for wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. Jenna has also decided to raise some money for the Irish Cancer Society by asking people to sponsor the haircut (https://gofund.me/ed6fe249).
Jenna is in 6th class at school in Mayo, and she visits Donegal often to see both her sets of grandparents still living here.
Jenna has never cut her hair apart from an odd trim, making her hair ideal for donating to Little Princess Trust. The charity will transform the hair into a real hair wig, free of charge, for children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer or other conditions.
Jenna’s big haircut has been scheduled for 2nd December, so in the run-up to the day she inviting people to donate any amount they can to her GoFundMe page here: https://gofund.me/ed6fe249. All donations will be presented to the Irish Cancer Society.
