A fund has been established for a young Donegal ATU student who was involved in a serious accident outside Letterkenny recently.
Yousaf Ghaffar began studying Criminal Law in Letterkenny recently.
However, the 18-year-old suffered life-changing injuries when the car in which he was a back-seat passenger crashed.
Yousaf will be in hospital for weeks in Dublin until the National Rehabilitation Unit can accept him and even then he will have months of therapy and counselling.
Now his close friend Sheila Watters has started a Go Fund Me Page in a bid to help Yousaf’s family, who live in Claremorris Co. Mayo, meet some of the cost.
Sheila described Yousaf as a very kind and loveable young man with a great sense of purpose, positivity and a very bright future.
Sheila added “This is a very challenging time for his whole family both financially and mentally. Your donation will help ease the burden and worry that comes hand in hand with such a traumatic event.
“I would appreciate any small donation and if you could share this that would be very much appreciated. Yousaf and his family have a long road ahead of them, he has already told his Mammy & Daddy that he will do everything in his power to keep strong and remain positive.
“Thank you for taking the time to read Yousaf’s story, please share. I understand that times are difficult but with your kindness and support, together we can help keep Yousaf strong.”
