Armed Gardai continued their clampdown on cross-border crime yesterday following a number of checkpoints within the Buncrana District.
It follows an increase in the number of burglaries in the border areas in recent weeks.
Gardaí from Buncrana Roads Policing Unit conducted crime checkpoints yesterday alongside armed Gardaí.
A number of checkpoints were also conducted yesterday by Buncrana Roads Policing Unit alongside Revenue Enforcement and Social Welfare Inspectors in the areas of Muff and Bridgend.
