Met Éireann has issued a moderate wind warning for Donegal today.
They forecast very strong southwest winds with gusts of 80-100km/h, strongest near coasts and on high ground with potential for wave overtoppping.
The warning is valid from 6pm this evening until 10pm tonight and also affects Galway and Mayo.
Motorists and other road users are asked to take care in and around the high tide times.
The UK Met Office has also issued a yellow wind warning for the six counties of Northern Ireland from 8am tomorrow to 2pm.
Strong winds may lead to transport disruption tomorrow, the Met Office said.
