A man was attacked and then followed by a gang in Letterkenny before they smashed the windows of the house he sought shelter in.
The worrying incident started outside a house in Glenard Park, Long Lane in the early hours of Saturday morning last at 12.45am.
The victim was chatting to friends outside his house when he was attacked by another group.
The injured man and his friends fled to another house Hazelbrook Crescent which is only a short distance away.
They were followed and when the pursuing gang could not gain entry they smashed the front window in the house and then fled.
The victim was treated in hospital for injuries but they are not life-threatening.
