No Pain No Gain: Donegal’s ‘Mo Bros’ brave the heights and a wax!

Six Donegal influencers are about to wrap up a month of hairy situations for Movember.

The group of local men, who call themselves the ‘Mo Bros’, has been making waves on social media changing the face of men’s health. They have raised almost €3,000 for their efforts so far and you can still donate to: https://movember.com/t/up-the-dippers

The Mo Bros group working on creative beards and taches are: Micheál Brennan (Donegal Daddy), Paddy Browne (The Viking Dippers), Kevin Dooher (The Wild Atlantic Traveller), Donal Kearney (Donegal Donal), Ethan Kelly (Donegal Ethan) and Steve Horan (FPL Fairy).

Last Sunday, they organised a Walk and Talk event up Errigal mountain to bring people together with a great turnout of men, women and children. Some of the non-drivers enjoyed a can of Kinnegar’s Thumper sponsored by the local brewing company.

There was a great turnout last Sunday at the Movember Walk and Talk event organised by Donegal content creators Kevin Dooher (The Wild Atlantic Traveller), Paddy Browne (The Viking Dipper), Michéal Brennan (Donegal Daddy) and Kevin Dooher (The Wild Atlantic Traveller).

As well as raising awareness around men’s health issues such as mental health, men’s suicide and prostate and testicular cancer, the group also took on a challenge of doing 100 push ups a day.

And as the month draws to a close, they had an evening of pain and pampering at G&G last night at the hands of Aoibheann Walsh MUA! Paddy and Micheál braved waxes, while Kevin stepped up to a spray tan. Despite the squeals, the lads were great sports. You can watch their salon experience on Instagram: @donegaldaddy @thewildatlantictraveller and @thevikingdippers

Paddy Browne from The Viking Dippers said: “Movember is all about raising awareness about men’s health and encouraging men to open-up and talk. In my opinion men have always been a little bit shyer about talking about issues, particularly health issues, so if the work we’re doing encourages men to be more open, then it’s an amazing cause!”
