Donegal’s most senior Garda is to retire next week.

Chief Superintendent Terry McGinn will leave An Garda Siochana after decades of services.

No replacement has yet been announced for the Letterkenny-based officer.

During her time as head of the Gardai in Donegal, Chief Superintendent McGinn overseen a number of high profile investigations and incidents.

A presentation was made at today’s meeting of the Joint Policing Committee to Superintendent Sean Grant on behalf of Chief Superintendent McGinn.
