A public meeting will take place in Dunkineely on Friday night to discuss the lack of a GP in the area.

The meeting will take place in Dunkineely Community Centre at 8.30pm.

When the service closed last month, patients were told they would be catered for in Glenties until such time as a new GP was appointed.

Deputy Thomas Pringle (Ind) and other public representatives will be in attendance.

The HSE has been invited to send a representative.

Dr McManus, who recently moved from Dunkineely to a practice in Glenties, has also been invited to attend.
