Donegal County Council has dispatched gritters to all main routes this Tuesday morning.
Temperatures dipped to lows of 2C in the north west overnight, creating a risk of frost.
Met Eireann says that today will be mostly dry with prolonged sunny spells. There is a chance of a light shower or two near northwestern facing coasts in the afternoon. It will be chilly with highest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees, in mostly light northerly breezes.
ALL routes will be gritted from 6AM on Tue. 06/12. Donegal gritting route index as follows:
