Letterkenny writer Brian J Walsh has scooped the Playwriter of the Year award at the All-Ireland One Act Finals.
The event in Ballina last weekend celebrated the creme de la creme of one-act dramas. Actors, crews and groups from across the country gathered for an exciting and highly entertaining weekend.
Brian won the overall DLI/ADCI title for his play ‘The Matchless Orinda’. His prize was a residential writing week in The Tyrone Guthrie Centre Annaghmakerrig kindly sponsored by the Ramor Theatre, Virginia.
Last year Brian was second with his entry ‘Role of a Lifetime’.
