Update – Crossroads Christmas lights switch-on postponed

UPDATE – The switching on of the Christmas lights in Crossroads village has been postponed due to the icy conditions.

The event was due to take place at 6pm this evening.

The organising committee has just released the following statement:

“We have just inspected the yard, footpaths and car parks and some of the road conditions.

We have made the decision to cancel today’s switch on event, in the interest of the health and safety and wellbeing of our kids and the public.

We had a WhatsApp call from Santa and he said not to worry that he would come to the Cross next weekend, and meet the kids in his grotto.

He was rushing out and said he would watch the weather and let us know during the week, watch this space for more details on this.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by cancelling.

Please please please share the life out of this post so people don’t travel unnecessarily.

Thank you.”
