Kind hearted children from Bruckless National School held a craft fair and coffee morning on Friday the 9th of December to raise money for the St. Vincent De Paul.
The children made a range of hand made and hand crafted decorations and various crafts to sell on the day. It was also decided to hold a coffee morning to raise funds for St. Vincent De Paul.
A total of €170 was raised for SVDP thanks to the donations received at the coffee morning.
The money was presented to Barry McGowan today and it will be used to support local families in need this Christmas.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Our first school Christmas Craft Fair was a huge success. A sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported the school and the children who have all worked so hard to make it the success it was over the past few weeks.
“Thanks to the parents and everyone who helped out with refreshments and organising this morning and special thanks to everyone who sent in home baking. Without the support of our families and community these events would not be possible.
“We look forward to organising similar events like this again in the future. Our coffee morning raised €170 which will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul and the craft fair raised €447 which will support the school development funds.”
