Funeral of much-loved Donegal father to be held in his native Gortahork

A Donegal man who lost his life in a collision in Australia has been repatriated home.

Rory Greene from Ardsbeg, Gortahork died following a road traffic accident in Brisbane on the 29th November.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, and their three children Mary-Kate, Ruán and Íona along with his parents Bernard and Dorothy, three sisters, four brothers and a large circle of family and friends.

His funeral mass will be held in his hometown this weekend.

His remains will repose at his home at Ardsbeg from 11.00am on Friday, the 16th December.

Funeral from there on Saturday, the 17th December, for 1.00pm requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork, with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Rosary at 8.00pm, house private after rosary and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust care of any family member or Gallagher Funeral Directors.
