It might be a week later than planned, but Donegal’s county town will finally get to switch on its Christmas lights tonight.
The big switch-on will take place outside the old Lifford Ulster Bank building at 7:30pm, with music and entertainment from 7pm.
“We had planned to have our switch-on last Sunday, but the weather was just too bad,” a spokesperson for the organisers said.
“We know this is last minute, but we didn’t know if we would have a switch-on at all with the weather.
Hopefully the weather will be kind this evening and everyone will get a wee visit from the big man himself!
“Fingers crossed the weather is good to us and we will see you all this evening.
“It will be nice to see the town lit up again and see everyone get into the Christmas spirit.”
