Met Éireann have issued a fresh yellow weather warning for 22 counties including Donegal this afternoon.
The national weather forecaster also warned that untreated roads and paths are likely to be treacherous after showers of freezing rain, sleet and snow.
The ice warning will take effect for all counties from 5pm today, except for those on the southern coast: Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Wexford.
It will last until 9am on Sunday morning.
Many roads in parts of Donegal are still treacherous after last night’s freeze.
Gardai have warned people to be extra careful and not to take any chances if out and about.
